TED: Ideas worth spreading

TED, which stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design is a gathering of people from those industries that happens once a year and has been going on for like 20 years. Some of the most incredible out-of-the-box thinking talks come out of this thing, and I've spent hours on the site viewing these talks ever...super cool.

Check this one out. The nerdosterone (word courtesy of my buddy Josh) in the room had to have been through the roof:

Go See Die Hard

Go see it. I mean it. It's amazing, by far the best one of the franchise, and I'm going to go out on a limb and put it in my top 10 movies of all time. This is an action movie to the core, and if you love action movies, you'll love it.

That's all :)

Through Their Eyes: Africa

Be a part of history! Today I am participating in the first ever “blogathon” to raise funds for the through their eyes africa project. Please go to their blog and give generously today. You can make a difference to some of the neediest people on earth in a very unique way, and we need your help.

This project will be sending a group of well known photographers into a remote part of Africa that has not received any help yet. The photographers will be mentoring young adults on how to take pictures so that we can get a look at their society “through their eyes”. The funds raised from this project will go right back to the needs of these people. So, please go now and give at www.throughtheireyesafrica.typepad.com. They need your donations to make this happen. Remember, what you give will make a difference in the lives of some of the neediest people on earth.

Be a part of history. Be part of the solution.

Thank you for your generosity! I think this is just so dang cool!

iGoogle

This is totally sweet, if you haven't seen it already. Google has allowed you to create a customized home page for a while, but now it's cooler than ever. I've got mine set up to show me what's up in my Gmail account, Google maps, some news feeds, weather, and what's going on with my RSS feeds (gotta keep up on my blogs!)

Also, I've got a countdown to my birthday! 32 Days baby!

Back Home

We're finally back home here in San Diego, for a while :) Which is pretty exciting. I love getting to travel all over the place, but I'm kind of all traveled out!

I've neglected the blog, big time, and I have so much to blog about (so many awesome pictures) so keep a close eye here in the next week for a ton of cool stuff. I think we've taken some of our best pictures we've ever taken in the past month. I'm not even kidding!

In the last month, we've been so many places. First was Wisconsin for Rachel & Chad's beautiful wedding on the shore of Lake Michigan, then we shot Alesha & Lane's wedding in Mission Bay in San Diego, and went straight to the airport to fly to Flagstaff, Arizona for Matt & Brynn's wedding. The following weekend Erin & I celebrated our 1 year anniversary in Palm Springs (which was so relaxing!) and then Erin went to Boston for a week, leaving Gracie and I all alone. She got back on Friday, and then Saturday we flew to San Francisco for Brittany & Michael's wedding (goregous!) and then yesterday did Bekah & Scott's engagement session at Baker's Beach, and the Palace of the Fine Arts in San Francisco. 6,500+ miles. Wow.

Phew!

We spent most of yesterday just relaxing in "the city" as they call it, went to the Cheesecake Factory, and then flew home late last night.

More later :)
