Rachel & Chad's wedding was AWESOME! Aside from Rachel & Chad being a super fun couple (and very photogenic) the whole day was just amazing. The ceremony was in the backyard of Chad's mentor, Ian, which happened to be on the short of Lake Michigan on this cool bluff with trees and flowers everywhere. When we showed up to the ceremony site, I just got all giddy and excited with all the cool and interesting possibilities (I'm a huge dork).
Thank you so much for having us out to shoot your wedding, we had so much fun, and you all made us feel like a part of the family :)
The house was made of glass! Like you could see right through it, so cool! There's more pictures online, if you know Rachel & Chad, hit them up for the link!

Scott & Bekah!
I'm so behind on blogging, it's not even funny! I'm going to go a little out of order here, so please forgive me as I recount all the amazingness that's been the last month or two!
A few weeks ago I got to go up to San Francisco to do Scott & Bekah's engagement session, which was super fun! Ever since seeing this post on my friend Jared's blog, I HAD to head up there and find this exact beach, and get an inspired shot!
Scott & Bekah are so great for each other, and I've just loved Scott ever since I met him. He's currently in the Police Academy, and his first day was yesterday, so I thought I'd post up some pictures from their engagement session as a way of saying "Good luck dude!"
If you know Scott & Bekah, hit them up for the link to view all their pictures! Cristina already asked if there will be a "picture show." Soon, Cristina, soon. All in good time. For now, check out a few of my favorites below:

Painting with Light
The other day when Josh, Reuben, and myself went to see Die Hard, they ran a Sprint commercial during the previews that absolutely blew me away. I'd seen images of people "painting with light" where you leave the shutter open on your camera for longer than normal, and then move a flashlight or something around, so you get these cool streaks.
Anyway, so this was a whole video that appeared to piece together thousands and thousands of such frames into a video. The three of us argued about it for a while. Reuben and Josh insisted it was CGI, but I held fast to that it's totally real, and hand made. And this blog post is about me being right. That, and sharing something totally awesome with you!
The group of artists that did this do a bunch of stuff like this, and they are named "Pika Pika." Here's their website (it's in Japanese).
Ok, here's the video:
AND, here's the making of the video:

TED: Ideas worth spreading
TED, which stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design is a gathering of people from those industries that happens once a year and has been going on for like 20 years. Some of the most incredible out-of-the-box thinking talks come out of this thing, and I've spent hours on the site viewing these talks ever...super cool.
Check this one out. The nerdosterone (word courtesy of my buddy Josh) in the room had to have been through the roof:

Go See Die Hard
Go see it. I mean it. It's amazing, by far the best one of the franchise, and I'm going to go out on a limb and put it in my top 10 movies of all time. This is an action movie to the core, and if you love action movies, you'll love it.
That's all :)

iGoogle
This is totally sweet, if you haven't seen it already. Google has allowed you to create a customized home page for a while, but now it's cooler than ever. I've got mine set up to show me what's up in my Gmail account, Google maps, some news feeds, weather, and what's going on with my RSS feeds (gotta keep up on my blogs!)
Also, I've got a countdown to my birthday! 32 Days baby!

Back Home
We're finally back home here in San Diego, for a while :) Which is pretty exciting. I love getting to travel all over the place, but I'm kind of all traveled out!
I've neglected the blog, big time, and I have so much to blog about (so many awesome pictures) so keep a close eye here in the next week for a ton of cool stuff. I think we've taken some of our best pictures we've ever taken in the past month. I'm not even kidding!
In the last month, we've been so many places. First was Wisconsin for Rachel & Chad's beautiful wedding on the shore of Lake Michigan, then we shot Alesha & Lane's wedding in Mission Bay in San Diego, and went straight to the airport to fly to Flagstaff, Arizona for Matt & Brynn's wedding. The following weekend Erin & I celebrated our 1 year anniversary in Palm Springs (which was so relaxing!) and then Erin went to Boston for a week, leaving Gracie and I all alone. She got back on Friday, and then Saturday we flew to San Francisco for Brittany & Michael's wedding (goregous!) and then yesterday did Bekah & Scott's engagement session at Baker's Beach, and the Palace of the Fine Arts in San Francisco. 6,500+ miles. Wow.
Phew!
We spent most of yesterday just relaxing in "the city" as they call it, went to the Cheesecake Factory, and then flew home late last night.
More later :)
