Photo Guest Books!

Ok, this is something I'm really excited about. I've started offering to all my clients photo guest books for their guests to sign "yearbook style" at their wedding. Today, I actually did the design on my first book, and I'm really excited to send it off to get printed!

They are 7" by 7" hardcover books with pages that lay totally flat (which makes signing easier!) and are 20 pages in length. They are just too cool.

Ryan & Ashlee - Slideshow!

I was in a slideshow kind of mood tonight, so I decided to make a little slideshow of Ryan and Ashlee's engagement session that I did a while back. They are such a fun couple!

The song that I used is a Plumb song that I just heard recently and I've fallen in love with. It is such a cool song! So be sure to crank up the speakers!

I'm blue....

Ok, so I'm not feeling sad or anything, so there's no need to be concerned! I'm in Phoenix right now for my friend Stefanie's birthday, which we all celebrated last night! She just turned 25, and had a "Blue" party where all the decorations were blue, and everybody that came wore a blue outfit of some kind. It was so much fun!

This is a picture of my crowning achievement in the party decorating- what I call the blue tornado! All the girls were doing "cute" stuff with the streamers and decorations and stuff, so we decided to bring the whole thing from simply "awesome" to "legendary" so we taped a bunch of streamers to the cieling fan. And thus, the blue tornado was born! It was so sweet!

I wish I had gotten a picture of it during the party- when the guests arrived the whole place was lit up blue, and it looked so good. It was such a fun party! Remember that song "Blue" from a few years back? Oh yeah, we definitely played that song a lot!

The Wifey

Ok, so Erin is basically beautiful! AND she's my wife, which makes it even better! Boo Yah!

She's graduating this spring, and I decided (being the amazing husband that I am) to buy an ad space in her yearbook for a little "congrats" note from her parents, brother, sister, and myself. So that's what the above picture is-- except I took out all the mushy stuff, because that's the stuff that Erin has to wait to see! Its good, trust me!

Seriously, I'm so proud of her. She's a literature major, and basically a genius! Little known fact: one of my favorite things is to have her tell me stories in her own words from classic books that I'm too lazy to read. I love it!

We took these pictures this morning-- the lighting was gorgeous! Ok, I can't help but include a few more pics:

Sailing in January?

One of the best parts about living in San Diego is that you can go sailing in January! Yeah! Some friends & I went sailing last weekend and it was a blast (and I'm going to be honest, when we got out on the ocean it was a bit chilly!).

We did the ol' cruisin' around the bay, and then out past Point Loma to the kelp beds, all while BBQing...so good! I made ribs, and Carly made up some mean hamburgers. The photo is of the America, the first ship to win the race now known as "The America's Cup" back in the 1800's. Ok, so thats not the real ship, but it a replica, and when it came up along side us, it was quite the site to see...so I snapped a quick one :)

Movies, Movies, Movies

I love movies, but you know what I love more than movies? Lots of movies! I'm one of those people that even though I really enjoy watching movies at home, I rarely will watch the same movie twice (except for my handful of favorites), and so as such, I have a hard time buying DVD's and accumulating a collection, like so many of my friends have.

Enter Blockbuster Online. It's the greatest thing to happen since Netflix. If you haven't checked out the Blockbuster Online program, you need to. Seriously, it rocks!

Exciting News!

So, last week I got a call from Collages.net, which is the company that I use for all my online proofing and ordering of images for clients. They're one of the top online proofing companies in the world- thousands and thousands of wedding photographers use them :) They had seen the photographs that I took of Ryan and Ashlee before Christmas, and wanted to get my permission to feature them on their website! How cool is that?

Here's the link to their pictures- their event site will be online until February of next year, since it's a featured event!

They asked for a short description, so Erin helped me write one, which is why it sounds so intelligent :) She is a literature major, after all....

We did the shoot up in Encinitas, and had an absolute blast- they are such a fun couple, and I can't wait to shoot their wedding next summer!
