I love Tuesday Nights
Every Tuesday night I get to hang out with some of my best friends ever, and it's such a great time in my week. Totally something I look forward to all the time, and its so rejuvenating. I'm one of those people that gets my energy from hanging out with people (which I'm sure a lot of you probably could have guessed) and hanging out with these guys who know me so well and so deeply is literally so amazing.
We just sit around a fire pit, chat, and drink some kind of tasty beverage usually. It's the greatest. Right now we're reading a book together called "The Pursuit of God" by A.W. Tozer and it's such a cool book. I spent forever trying to find it at local bookstores, but then I found out that it is public domain since it's so old and you can get it for free legitimately on the internet. If you're interested, here's a link. I totally printed it out. Kind of ghetto, I know.
Anyway, I know that was random, but I just had a really good night so I thought I'd share it with you.
I am so amped you guys because in the next few days I've got a really big announcement to make and you're all going to love it. I can't even wait! It's something I've been working on for a while with some super amazing and talented people and I can't believe it's finally ready! Stay tuned.

Fondu time = Happy time!
Since Erin and I will be in DC for Valentine's Day, we decided to have a romantic night in tonight, and we're about to have one of my favorite things in the world: chocolate fondu! I am SO EXCITED!
My wife makes things look so pretty :) I'm really looking forward to my chocolate-induced coma :) Gotta go! PS even though this says posted by Erin, Jeff really posted it :) I forgot to log in as Jeff because I'm so excited!

Going to the Mall
On Thursday this week Erin and I are heading out to Washington, DC and I'm really excited because that has always been one place that I've always wanted to visit, but never have. A few days ago I was asking Erin what she was looking forward to doing while we're out there and she said "I'm really excited to just go hang out at the Mall." I was like, what? Why would you go all the way to Washington DC just to hang out at the Mall?
We'll, apparently I'm 1) a moron and 2) probably deserve to have failed US History. A little poking around on the internet, and I'm now super excited to go hang out at the mall, too :)
We're going to be staying in Virginia with Shannon one of our good friends from college so it's going to be SO nice to hang out with her, and to have our own personal tour guide! I think we're actually going to only spend one day in DC specifically, and doing a lot more fun stuff in the surrounding areas. Hopefully we'll get to connect again with some new friends from Jeff & Nicole's wedding last month since a lot of them traveled out to San Diego from DC!
If you've ever been to DC, what's the one thing that we can't miss?

Cool friends :)
Last weekend our friends Katie & Wes came down from Sacramento and Erin and I had the pleasure of doing a SUPER fun engagement shoot with them in Balboa Park. Katie is super excited to see the pictures and so I thought I'd give a sneak peak by sharing just one of my favorites! More to come very soon, along with a full story of how rad these two are!

In Memory of Cindy
I don't know how to start, so I just will. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Cindy last May when Drew B and I shot her wedding. I had met Drew just a few months prior and the first time we met she told me about her friend Cindy and what an amazing woman she was and how we should shoot her wedding together.
As soon as we walked into her hotel room she was so excited to see both Drew and I, even though we'd never met. I think in the middle of Drew introducing us she was already hugging me - she is such a loving person. Even though my time with her was limited to just that one day, I'll never forget her. I'm sitting here in front of my computer, straining to see what I'm typing through my tears, and I can't help but just feel blessed for the short time I got to spend with her. Please take a moment to check out Drew B's post on Cindy - she pretty much says it all.
On Tuesday night, Cindy lost her battle with colon cancer that she had fought so hard for so long. She is survived by her loving family and her wonderful, caring, kind and gentle husband, Jared.

Photobooth Fun :)
I just found these from a few weeks ago from the Biogen Idec holiday party! FotoCabina was a huge hit at the party and we definitely had a lot of fun messing around with the photo booth! I've been seeing this thing more and more at weddings, and trust me, if you're thinking about getting one for your wedding, it's worth EVERY PENNY!
Aww, aren't we cute?

Ryan & Ashlee | Wedding
As I was looking back through some of my favorite images from the past year or so, I came across all kinds of shoots that I did that I never blogged about, and I seriously was laughing out loud! I can't believe I haven't shared this stuff with all of you!
Ashlee & Ryan got married last summer up in Corona (see how behind I am!) and the whole day was just awesome from start to finish! Here's some favorites-- I know there's a lot, but I just LOVED the wedding!
Ashlee had her dress custom designed for her and it was absolutely stunning on her. When I walked into the room where she was getting ready I immediately was stoked on her beautiful dress hanging in the window...
I love this shot for so many reasons. Ashlee was such a calm, cool bride. She was so giddy to see Ryan, it was adorable :)
Fact: We've photographed the wedding of all three of the girls in this image! We are SO blessed to get to work over and over again with such fun, HOT couples!!! (Kelly, Ashlee, and Jourdan)
Check Jourdan out in the background - love it!
Ryan and his boys - how stinkin' good do these dudes look? Ryan is a police officer so of course him and his fellas all rocked the vibes. I think they would have all been rocking mustaches if Ashlee would have let them! (j/k)
How GORGEOUS are all these girls? Ummm, unreal :)
This could be one of my favorite images from all of 2007. Just maybe.
Gorgeous bride...
Studly groom....
They waited until after the ceremony to see one another, so we decided to grab an "almost" moment between the two of them just before the ceremony. I can't tell you how tender this moment was - it's moments like these that I'm just so stoked to be a photographer because I get to experience these cool things along with the couples I get to work with, and it's incredible.
Ashlee's Dad was 1) a total stud 2) way proud of his daughter and 3) so stoked that she was marrying Ryan..
During the prayer...seriously :) Haha!
They make me smile...
What a FUN bridal party - check the guy out on the far right....haha!
I was loving the way the wind was blowing Ashlee's hair, and how the sun was hitting it just right. How studly does Ryan look in the background?
A big time favorite - beautiful earrings
Who says white men can't jump?
They entered to "Bad Boys" --- how appropriate!
Thank you so much you guys for letting me come along and experience such an amazing day with both of you! It was such a pleasure! Looking forward to getting together for Dinner soon!
